Dr Varsani is the Director of Coastal Health Skin Clinic and Coastal Health Medical Centres. He is a highly experienced General Practitioner with advanced expertise in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, where he was awarded the Diploma of Head and Neck Surgery.

He has completed the Diploma of Cutaneous Oncology through the Australasian College of Cutaneous Oncology and holds a Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) from the University of Queensland. Dr Varsani is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr Varsani is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA) and a Fellow of the Skin Cancer Institute. He is currently progressing toward Fellowship of the SCCA, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advanced training and clinical excellence.

In addition to comprehensive skin cancer diagnosis and surgical management, Dr Varsani also performs selected cosmetic injectable treatments.

Dr Charnock is a highly experienced general practitioner with a special interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. She graduated from the University of Manchester (UK) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in both the UK and Australia.

She has completed extensive postgraduate training in dermoscopy and skin cancer medicine and surgery through the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA), including Advanced Dermoscopy (awarded with distinction). Dr Charnock is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the SCCA.

At Coastal Health Skin Clinic, Dr Charnock provides comprehensive skin cancer care, including full skin checks with dermoscopy, spot checks, biopsies, excisions, and complex surgical closures such as skin flaps and grafts. She also offers selected cosmetic injectable treatments.

Dr Charnock is exclusively available at the Coastal Health Skin Clinic, Toukley, consulting on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

With medical training from the University of Leeds and specialist GP training in the UK, Dr Smith has a strong passion for children’s health and paediatrics.

He has hands-on experience working in paediatric secondary care, where he developed skills in managing common and complex childhood conditions. He also holds the Diploma of Child Health (DCH), giving him additional expertise in supporting children’s development, wellbeing, and family-centred care.

Whether it’s infant check-ups, developmental concerns, childhood illnesses, or family health advice, Dr Smith is committed to providing a warm, reassuring, and evidence-based approach for kids and their parents.

Dr Smith is available 4½ days a week at the Toukley Clinic and is excited to welcome new families.

Meet Dr. Zelgert, a caring and dedicated GP with a passion for women’s health. Originally from Germany, where she earned her medical degree at the Technical University of Munich, Dr. Zelgert began her career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before moving to the UK to complete her GP training.

She believes every woman deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported and leads the Coastal Health Women’s Clinic — whether it’s managing hormonal health, navigating menopause, or finding the right contraceptive option (including Mirena, copper coils, or implants). With additional diplomas from the FSRH and RCOG, her care is grounded in both expertise and empathy.

Outside of medicine, you’ll find Dr. Zelgert enjoying time outdoors, cooking, or unwinding with yoga — embracing balance in all aspects of life.

Dr Zelgert is available 4½ days a week at the Toukley Clinic.

Meet Dr Erum Khan!

With more than five years’ experience as a GP in Australia — and hospital experience at Gosford and Wyong — Dr Khan brings a strong, well-rounded clinical background to her patients at our North Wyong clinic.

She is available 5 days a week to help you stay well and thrive!

Recently awarded her FRACGP fellowship, she’s passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and loves working in a team-focused environment that supports ongoing learning.

Dr Fatimazahra Gulamhusein

We’re excited to shine a light on part of our team, Dr Fatimazahra Gulamhusein, who joined us on the Central Coast after moving from Birmingham, UK with her young family in May 2024.

Dr Gulamhusein is a caring, friendly, and detail-oriented generalist GP and is now welcoming new patients to her list.

Meet Dr Muntazir Gulamhusein

Dr Muntazir Gulamhusein is a valued and well-established member of our Toukley practice. Since joining us 18 months ago, he has built a strong and loyal patient base—thanks to his genuine warmth, thorough approach, and unwavering dedication to the community.

A British-trained GP, Dr Gulamhusein moved to the Central Coast from Birmingham with his young family. He graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2011 and completed his General Practice training in 2016. With extensive experience in children’s health, chronic disease management, and skin conditions, he brings both depth of knowledge and a calm, caring presence to every consultation.

Patients value Dr Gulamhusein’s thoughtful bedside manner and the time he takes to listen, explain, and partner with them in their health journey. His patient-centred care is at the heart of everything he does, and he is dedicated to supporting the long-term health and wellbeing of the Toukley community.

Dr Gulamhusein consults 4.5 days per week at our Toukley clinic, where he remains fully committed to his patients and their ongoing care.

We’re proud to introduce Dr Tara Rawat—a dedicated, compassionate GP whose diverse experience and cultural understanding make her an invaluable part of our team.

Born in India, Dr Rawat speaks English and Hindi fluently and also understands Urdu and Punjabi, helping her connect with patients from a wide range of backgrounds with ease and warmth.

In 2007, she achieved her Fellowship in Respiratory Medicine in India. After moving to Australia in 2014, she expanded her clinical expertise in Hospital Emergency and Psychiatry departments, building strong foundations in both acute and mental health care.

Today, Dr Rawat specialises in:
